TSA TSAS

Little Lotus Hearts will work with you through the Temple in Walden to create memorial Tsa Tsas for your deceased pet. Tsa tsas are a traditional Buddhist sculpture created from combining the ashes of the deceased with clay. They are then formed into the shape of a holy stupa, essentially, a Buddhist reliquary. Finally, they are painted.

Buddhists believe that tsa tsas are one method for accumulating merit for the deceased. This highly labor intensive process is conducted by monks who recite prayers for the happy rebirth of the deceased, as well as all sentient beings. It is believed that the greater the number of tsa tsas created, the more merit accumulated.

Tsa tsas may be returned to their owners or kept at the temple. Traditionally, tsa tsas are placed in gardens, woodlands or kept in the homes of family members. They may be kept together or dispersed in various favorite places or shared among many various people. For example, an animal companion that was an important member of a large family could be shared for eternity, in this very special way. The creation of tsa tsas is an excellent way of honoring the deceased and also creating merit for them.

Little Lotus Hearts, is pleased to be able to offer this wonderful service to all animal lovers. You do not need to be of the Buddhist faith to create this type of wonderful tribute. However, due to the nature of the work, it is strongly recommended that you also sponsor prayers when ordering tsa tsas.  Tsa tsas are available in groups of seven, fourteen or twenty-one.
