Domino Claire - April 1, 2006

Domino, the Great Dane, was our sweet girl. We rescued her in December 1994, and I can speak for the family when I say that I think that she gave more than she ever received. You could see the love, the trust and the patience in her eyes. Her favorite thing in the world was to go for a ride. All you had to do was say "Bye bye" and Domino was ready to go. Her favorite meal was spaghetti and meatballs. (Actually, her last meal was meatballs.) As she grew older, she became more eccentric. I would affectionately say that she was the most ridiculous dog ever! The day she died, Domino sent us some signs just to let us know that she was ok. The day she died, I remember having this thought: "Domino's new life." Even though I was sad, this thought comforted me. I don't think a day has gone by that we haven't thought about her. She'll always be in our hearts.
