Bunny was the sweetest and most loving cat who ever lived. She was pure love. All she wanted to do was sit in my lap or stretch out in the sun. I called her my Sun Bunny because she would always find a patch of sun to sleep in somewhere in the house. I first met Bunny when I lived in All her life Bunny was so small and light that when she jumped it was like she was floating through the air. Bunny was my best friend for 16 years. She always greeted me when I came home. She sat by me when I was sick. Once she even put her paw on the button to disconnect the phone when I was talking to my boyfriend and he was upsetting me. She was always looking out for me. When Bunny developed kidney and thyroid problems in her old age, I did all I could to care for her. I got her traditional medicine, acupuncture treatments, Chinese herbs, and even cooked her special food. I felt very guilty because during Bunny’s last year of life I got married and my husband brought his cat, Nikki, to live with us. I know that Bunny hated having another cat around. It was hard for both of them. On Monday, August 9, 2004, Bunny died. I still miss her every day. Bunny was an angel who blessed my life for 16 years. She will always be in my heart. |
